Announcement of Store Merger and Relocation

We are excited to inform you of some changes happening at Insight Opticians. As part of our commitment to providing you with the best possible service and a wider range of products, we will be merging our Bracknell practice with our Maidenhead practice.

Effective 23/12/2024, our Bracknell practice will be closed, and all operations will be moved to our newly expanded premises at:

Eye Examinations

Being an established Independent Opticians and benefiting from our modern optical equipment, we take time to provide professional and thorough eye examinations, to find out and address your specific ocular needs and concerns. Our principal Optometrist Mr Sidhu has decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge and our patients have been coming to see him in both Bracknell and Maidenhead practices for many years.

OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) Upgrade is available, done and explained in detail by our Optometrist. This non-invasive scan allows the Optometrist to see each of the retinal layers and detect changes over time, especially important conditions such as Age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and more.

Contact Lens Consultations

Our experienced contact lens practitioners fit a variety of contact lenses, depending on your needs.

Being independent opticians, we are not restricted to particular suppliers and have the freedom to choose and trial the most suitable option for you.

Corneal Topography - We also benefit from this fantastic equipment that gives the most detailed information/map of the front of your eyes.

Dry Eye Assessments

In today’s busy world, the demands on our eyes have increased and a lot of people experience dry eye symptoms: irritation, scratchy sensations and periods or burning of blurry vision. The working environment, VDU screen time, age and medications all can alter the natural tear film and cause dry eyes.

We look at all these factors and assess your tear film quality and quantity and develop a plan of action including applying heat, lid massage and cleansing, lubricants and supplements where needed.
